Welcome to the Wheat City Run, Brandon’s newest annual running event, where every step supports a cause that hits close to home.
What is the Wheat City Run?
The Wheat City Run is a community-driven, annual charity run launching on October 4, 2026, based in downtown Brandon, Manitoba. Whether you’re a beginner lacing up for the 0.5Mile Fun Run or a seasoned runner ready to crush the half marathon, this event is for everyone of all ages, all abilities, all heart.
This isn’t just a race, it’s a movement to bring people together, raise awareness for housing and food insecurity, and help reinvigorate Brandon’s downtown.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple:

Race Day Details
Date: Sunday, October 4, 2026
Distances: 0.5 Mile Fun Run, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon
Start & Finish Line: Stanley Park, Brandon MB
Charity Partner: Samaritan House Ministries
All finishers receive a shirt and medal. Spectators can enjoy a BBQ and community vibe — all in support of a great cause.
How We Give
We’ve committed to donating 100% of our profits to Samaritan House Ministries. And even if we don’t break even in year one, we’ve pledged a minimum $1,000 donation regardless of outcome.
